This is the image for the news article titled PAIRED READING MAKES LEARNING FUNMs. Alex Butlers' 3rd grade class recently had paired reading time with Mrs. Michaela Roberts' Kindergarten class. Paired reading is a research-based strategy used with readers to build fluency. In this strategy, students read aloud to each other. When using partners, more fluent readers can be paired with less fluent readers. This particular reading activity helped the 3rd graders with their fluency and also helped the Kindergarten students practice their reading skills. It is a wonderful way to have fun while learning. Our school enjoys showing unity in all areas of learning!
